Wills

Question - If you had the choice of :-

A) Making Absolutely Certain that your family were very clear on :-

Exactly who was entitled to what.
Exactly who you wished to sort things out on your behalf
AVOIDING the extortionate Probate costs that they would incur by using Solicitors.

or

B) Leaving absolute Chaos and family "in-fighting" behind you, where the first place they turn (and INCUR the extortionate probate costs !) is the nearest Solicitors office.

Which would you choose?

Well,if you are one of the 7 out of 10 adults in the U.K who totally believe that option A is preferable, but have taken no steps to take your family out of Option B (Chaos!) then don't you think it's time you did something about it?

Why Making A Will is a good idea ?

If you have a wife or husband, or young children, then Making a Will is the only way to make certain they are provided for. Up to date Wills, make your intentions absolutely clear, makes it much easier for the Executors to deal with the estate of the Deceased, and to look after the Next of Kin.

If you die without Making a Will, then you die "Intestate", and this means you have no control over who inherits from your estate, and the Inheritance is then left to the "law of the land" as it stands at your death.

By using specially formed "Trusts" in association with your Wills and Probate, you are also able to eliminate many of the estate taxes ( Inheritance tax etc) that can be payable when dying "Intestate".

So, advice to all adults over the age of 18 in the U.K is "Make a Will" ! - it will save alot of heartache for your family and friends.

"Making A Will - The Home-Made Way "

Some people decide they will use home-made Wills in order to reduce costs, but these can be very false economy, as a large percentage of home-made Wills are deemed "unlawful" by the Courts due to numerous errors. They are also unable to help with minimising costs in such areas as Inheritance tax and Care-Home fee protection, so advice would always be " Get Professional Help".

The video below explains many of these points in greater detail, and gives more background on the services offered by "Assured Wills" when it come s to Making A Will.

Care Home Fees

You may not be aware that it is estimated as many as 77,000 homes were forced to be sold in 2009 simply to pay for care-home fees.

It's such a great shame when, with the proper advice, many of these homes could have been saved and passed down through the family as Making A Will in a correctly worded manner could have safeguarded the inheritance of these properties. This is another reason why it's so important to get professional advice in these matters.
